The data controller responsible for your personal data is Orbixtech, the operator of Remind Me Bot (@trackremindbot) and the website remindmebot.uk.

Information We Collect
To operate the service, we collect the minimum data necessary:
- • Telegram Metadata: Your unique Telegram ID, username, and first name to identify your account.
- • Reminder Content: The text and scheduled time you provide when setting a reminder.
- • Timezone: Your preferred timezone to deliver reminders at the correct local time.
- • Subscription Status: Whether you have an active paid plan, stored as a boolean flag. No payment card details are stored on our servers.
We do not collect your phone number, location, contacts, or any Telegram messages outside of direct interactions with the bot.
How We Use Information
Your data is used exclusively for the following purposes:
Scheduling
Triggering your reminder notifications at the exact time and timezone you specified.
Subscription Management
Verifying your plan status to grant or restrict access to premium features.
Service Improvement
Anonymised usage patterns to improve natural language processing and reliability.
Support
Responding to enquiries or resolving billing issues when you contact us directly.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data with third-party advertisers. Your reminders are your own.
Third-Party Services
We work with a small number of trusted third parties to deliver the service:
- • Telegram — The messaging platform through which the bot operates. Your interactions with the bot are subject to Telegram's Privacy Policy.
- • Stripe — Our payment processor. When you subscribe to a paid plan, your payment information (card details, billing address) is collected and stored directly by Stripe. Orbixtech never stores or has access to your full card details. Stripe's handling of your data is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- • Hosting Infrastructure — Our servers are hosted on a third-party cloud provider. All data is stored within secure data centres and is not shared with the provider beyond what is necessary for infrastructure operation.
Data Retention
We retain your data only for as long as necessary to provide the service:
- • Active reminders are kept until they are triggered or you delete them.
- • Account data (Telegram ID, timezone, preferences) is retained for the duration of your use of the service.
- • Upon account deletion or a data removal request, all personal data is deleted within 30 days.
Data Security
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to our systems is restricted to authorised personnel only, and we carry out regular reviews of our security practices.
In the unlikely event of a data breach that affects your rights and freedoms, we will notify you and the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours as required by UK GDPR.
